Make sure your child understands clearly what you expect of her. Sometimes that means explaining an idea differently from the way you would explain it to another adult.

Cristine Chandler, Ph.D.
Cristine Chandler is a clinical psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in research, teaching and private practice. Her focus is on families and children, and over the years, about half of her clients have come to her to address discipline issues.

Her remarkable success with the discipline techniques she developed (and which she explains in Four Weeks to a Better Behaved Child) is the result of her sound academic and research background and years of clinical experience perfecting her techniques. Using these, she has been able to help about 95% of the parents who come to her with discipline problems, whether mild to severe. Generally, she gets results within one to four weeks of her initial meeting.

Dr. Chandler's delight in children is evident, as is her passion for helping them grow into productive, responsible, happy adults. Equally important, she reflects deep respect for parents and an understanding of the important and sometimes difficult job they face daily.
